Building your site sounds very easy and it can be easy if you love what you do and want to share your knowledge.
Building a website means putting up content, writing articles and creating pages that people want to link too.
Start to Write
You should take that first step and start to write, your first article online is not going to be the easiest thing you did in life, but it is crucial for you website. It doesn’t have to be perfect an it probably won’t be…
But is the first step in the right direction and while you write more online, the easier it gets, yes, again practice makes perfect. And no that does not mean that my english will be perfect!, I am not a native english speaker, but it try to write it the best way I can.
So here a few tips on writing articles on you website.
Write for Humans
The biggest mistake you can make is to create strange constructions to get your keywords into the content of your page. Remember that the site you are building is read by humans and it should be easy to read and understand.
You know the topic of you site better than most people, so write you articles like you would talk to somebody else, talk with you own voice and tell them what you think that they should know or how they can solve a problem.
Use Good Titles
Good titles should describe the content of your article and will pull in readers from search engines if you create titles that make people curios of if they think it will solve a problem they are facing.
Now this article has a title Build Your Site but if you look at the title bar of your browser it says Learn How To Build Your Site for Better Performance in Search Engines which will have better click through rate then just Build Your Site.
Use Images and Alt Tags
People will scan the page of your website before they start reading, give them some focus points like bold text paragraph headers and bullit point and use images.
Your visitors will look at the picture and see if they are relevent to the topic they expect or learn more about.
Don’t steal pictures from other sites, use free image sites like imageafter.com or buy royalty free images from PhoteDune or Dreamstime.
After you upload an image make sure you give it a good description!
